Sales, POS and Cash

Complete guide to sales orders, checkout, freight, discounts, payments and cash reconciliation.

How to read this pageEach field explains what it is for, what to enter and an example. If your company does not use a feature, that field may not appear for your profile.

1. What Sales, POS and Cash are for

Sales records the commercial order. POS speeds up checkout at the counter. Cash controls the operator's cash session and payment movements.

2. Sales order: field by field

Use this flow when it is important to record customer, seller, freight, items and commercial notes.

3. POS: field by field

Use POS when the sale is completed directly at the counter/checkout.

Search by description
When applicable

Identifies the buyer when required.Select a customer or use unidentified consumer when allowed.Depends on the operation.
Seller

Identifies who made the sale.Select when commission or management requires it.May be required by policy.
Discount type

Discount value

Size of the discount.Enter a number compatible with the selected type.Example: 10.00 or 5%.
Reason

Explains why the discount was granted.Enter when company policy requires it.Example: approved campaign.
Payment method
Required
Indicates how the customer will pay.Choose a registered payment method.Example: PIX, card, cash.
Cash received
When applicable
Amount of cash physically received.Enter it to calculate change when applicable.Cash payments only.

  3. Review quantity and price.
  4. Select customer and seller when required.
  5. Apply a discount only when authorized.
  6. Choose payment.
  7. Review the total and complete the transaction.

4. What Cash records

Cash tracks the session, movements, payment methods, closing and events linked to the operator.

5. Common sales and payment errors

Repeating an operation without checking its current state can duplicate effects or make reconciliation harder.

Payment with an uncertain resultCheck the payment status first. Do not click repeatedly to try to make it work.
Wrong customerCorrect it before completion whenever possible. After completion, use the company correction/cancellation flow.
